61 x 49 cm, 18 x 11 cm folded. Interesting plan of Vilnus published in 1921, few months after the so-call Zeligowski's Mutiny that led to the annexation of Vilnus by Poland. The plan is published in Polish, as the use of Lithuanian language was then forbidden in public spaces. The plan is folded in a booklet, a listing of the new names used under the Polish administration, and the old Russian names:...
Nice early large (50 x 39 cm) plan of Riga, including detail of its fortification scheme and coat of arms. It shows the capital of Latvia's main churches and building, and the Duina River. This map was issued in Jansson's rare 6 volume town book, 'Illustriorum Principumque Urbium Septentrionalium Europae Tabulae'. Good overall condition, with a few discreet stains and defects.
